Starter Portfolio Allocator

A live, illustrative model allocation -- built with the techniques professional quant funds use, and open to everyone. Choose a risk label and a budget, and see how the model would spread it across Cash, Blue-Chip shares, Broad-Market ETFs, and Growth, reacting to current economic conditions. General information only: it doesn't take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.

๐Ÿ’š This tool exists to give people who are new to investing an honest look at how a model allocates -- and to show the real mechanics behind it, not just a number. It's general education, not personal financial advice -- see the note at the bottom.

1. How much risk feels right to you?

There's no wrong answer -- this is about your own comfort and timeframe, not what anyone else is doing.

2. How much are you starting with?

Pick a quick amount, or type your own -- this works the same whether it's $200 or $50,000.

Uses live prices, the live RBA cash rate, and today's real AU macro regime -- takes a few seconds.

๐Ÿ“– Quick glossary

Blue-chip
A large, well-established, financially strong company -- usually a household name with a long track record.
ETF
Exchange-Traded Fund -- one purchase that buys you a small slice of many companies at once, spreading out your risk.
Diversification
Spreading money across different investments so one bad outcome doesn't sink the whole plan.
Risk-On / Risk-Off
Shorthand for whether current conditions broadly favour taking risk (Risk-On) or favour caution (Risk-Off).
Regime
The general "weather" of the market and economy right now -- calm and steady, or stressed and volatile.
Franked dividend
A dividend that comes with a tax credit for the company tax already paid -- an AU-specific perk of many blue-chip shares.
This is general education, not personal financial advice. The allocation above is a model built from real, live market and economic data using the same categories of technique professional quant funds use (a robust optimizer, a regime-detection model, and a Bayesian view-blending method), applied to a generic risk-profile label you chose yourself -- it does not know your personal circumstances, debts, goals, or the rest of your financial picture. Past performance and current conditions are not a guarantee of future results. Please combine this with your own research, and consider speaking with a licensed financial adviser before acting, especially with meaningful amounts of money.
